Quyen Ma Hasenmyer received her Masters in Architecture from Rice University in May of 2009. She is a graduate of the University of Texas-Austin with a Bachelor of Fine Arts where she was a Gates Millennium Scholar. She currently resides in Austin, Texas and is a practicing designer and project manager for a small commercial architecture firm. She attended the Sunflower Mission work camp in May of 2008 and has been a board member since the winter of 2008.

Her aspirations include integrating her formal education in architecture and design with the vernacular building techniques and methods in Vietnam to learn how to build a 'better school'. She fulfills Sunflower Mission's graphic design needs, leads the coordination of the annual bowl-a-thon, and most recently was a leader in the fundraising efforts for Building a Legacy: David Manusov
