I got up at 5 this morning and already had my run around the block. People are out playing soccer or badminton on the street, swimming or playing on the beach. We are staying at the Long Beach hotel which is barely 6 months old right across from the beach. It is still very quite here with very much the feel of Con Dao. This is going to be a "tough" work camp.

Ai and her 4 teens and 2 house mothers came yesterday. Other VN participants are also all here.

I have been a constant "bad cop" on this trip - can't' do this, can't do that. The first morning in Saigon Nguyen already took the kids to Cho Ben Thanh which is located right next to the hotel. Yesterday afternoon everyone already took a swim and last night the older folks
walked the beach. Me, I had my baton walking around and keeping all of the teenagers in their rooms.

Will be leaving for the school site in about an hour. It is going to be near 100 oF today.

So far the group is jelling quite nicely. Some of the more reserved members have started to open up. We are going to have fun here.
