August Update

The foundation continues to assist a number of students and families and students in the village.  A number of our students will be heading to colleges and university in September.  Tuition must be paid by the families.  This is no easy task.  The tuition for most colleges ranges from $650 to $800 USD a year.  The average yearly salary is only $4200 USD.  This will be a new expense for the foundation in the coming years.  The students we have assisted in the past are doing very well in their studies.  Several of our original assisted students have graduated and are doing well.  They thank us for helping them early on in their education.   We will need help from our donors more than ever this year. 

We will also be assisting the organization for the Blind in their endeavors.  Today they are training the visually impaired in the art of massage therapy.  There is great interest in this program and we will support them. 

Please remember every dollar donated is used for the participants in our foundation.  The officers of the foundation are volunteers and receive no compensation. All the monies generated go to helping the students, the blind and the orphans at the Pagoda.    Follow us on Facebook and here on our website.    C.
